You can track questions and answers through your inbox, but reviewing your own questions involves waiting for a response. When you send questions to other blogs, unless you do so privately, you will need to review your question on their blogs after the answers have been published.
Visit a Tumblr blog that has questions enabled. Ask a question in the question box by locating the ask button and typing your question. Anonymous questions can only be viewed after a user responds to them, and will not send a notification to your inbox.
To get the aforementioned options, click on the pencil icon. Then, when you see the Cancel, Answer privately, and Post buttons, press the alt key on your keyboard. Once you do that, you will see this:. To comment as a guest or anonymously: Select the discussion then the name textbox. Put a check on the "I'd rather post as guest" checkbox and you can submit your comment without logging in or creating an account.

Click on the name of your blog to the right of the "Dashboard" heading. Click the "Settings" button to view the settings for the blog. Scroll down to the "Ask" section and place a check mark next to the "Let people ask questions" option. As a workaround, you can reblog the post to ask the original post author a question and include a hyperlinked URL in your query. The Ask feature must be enabled by the blog owner before users can send Ask messages to the blogger. Ask messages do not support hyperlinks.
You can choose to send your question to the post author anonymously or as a private message. If you send the message privately, only you and the blog owner will see the message. Followers of your blogs can send Fan Mail messages to you.
